3 Ways To Keep Your White Sneakers Looking Brand New

Posted on 27-10-2016 by Audrey Ong

It’s no secret that white sneakers are a wardrobe staple in both men’s and women’s wardrobes. They’re versatile and effortlessly chic, but they’re definitely not easy to maintain.

Here are some tips and tricks to keep your kicks looking as good as the day you bought them!

Baby Shampoo

Take off the laces and hand wash them with warm water and a little bit of shampoo and let them air dry. Then, use an old toothbrush and gently scrub out the dirty spots on your shoes with baby shampoo. Rinse with warm water after. This even works on bad stains like grease!

If you’ve got a particularly tough stain that won’t budge even after using baby shampoo, try bleach. Make sure you’re not using an excessive amount or your white canvas shoes will turn yellowish! Mix one part bleach to five parts water, dip an old toothbrush in the mixture and gently scrub the stained areas. Rinse with warm water after.

White Vinegar

Take a rag, dip it in a little white vinegar and gently rub over stains or scuffs to get rid of them.
