Customized Mouse Pad

Brighten up your co-workers’ desks with a customized mouse pad! All you have to do is pick out different fabric scraps for each of your colleagues to make a thoughtful and useful gift for each and everyone in the office.

What you’ll need:

- cork trivets (round or rectangular, it’s up to you)

- fabric

- fabric glue

- ribbon

1. Cut your fabric to fit your cork pad (make sure your fabric is larger than the pad by at least 2” on every side).

2. Apply fabric glue to the surface of the pad and place your fabric on top. Use a ruler to smoothen out the fabric to make sure there aren't any air bubbles caught in between the fabric and cork.

3. Fold the excess fabric over to the other edge.

4. Use a ribbon to go around the edge of the pad to hide the edge of the fabric.

5. Leave it to dry at least 12 hours before wrapping or using.

This is the perfect gift for your makeup obsessed sisters and girlfriends! It can also be used as a candle holder to add a little sparkle and charm to any bedroom.

What you’ll need:

- glass jar

- decoupage (white crafts glue mixed with a bit of water)

- paintbrush

- glitter

Before you begin, lay your work desk with newspaper to make cleaning up a breeze.

1. Apply a thin layer of glue to the inside of your jar.

2. Throw the glitter in and shake it around to ensure the glitter sticks to every surface. Shake out any excess glitter and leave to dry for 2 hours (or until the surface is no longer sticky to the touch).

3. Apply another layer (thicker than the first) of glue over the glitter and add more glitter to evenly coat the surface. Leave to dry for another 2 hours (or until the surface is no longer sticky to the touch).

4. Brush on a final (thick) layer of glue to seal in the glitter and prevent flaking. Leave it to dry at least 24 hours before using or wrapping.
