We’ve covered our favourite home remedies to banish acne and even all-natural ways to get rid of blackheads using ingredients that you can find in your own kitchen. Now, we want to talk about some ingredients that you can put in your body that is just as important as those you put on your skin. Smoothies are a superb source for your daily intake of fruits and veggies because they’re easy to make and soooo delicious. 


Here are some smoothies you should start making at home for gorgeous and glowing skin!

This smoothie is so pretty you’d be surprised to know that one of its key ingredients is purple cabbage! Don’t freak out, it might sound weird, but it’s 100% delicious. Purple cabbage is chock-full of vitamin C (which is essential for collagen production) and antioxidants. Mixed with blueberries, you’ll have a kick-ass combo that can help your body flush our toxins that could potentially wreck havoc on your skin. 



- 1/4 cup grated purple cabbage 

- 1/4 cup blueberries 

- 1/4 cup coconut water or milk (normal/soy/almond)

- handful of ice (optional)

Get your glow on with this bright, cheery and fruity smoothie! The strawberries, mango, and oranges used in this recipe provide a ton of vitamins (C, A, E, K and B) and the carrots contain retinoids that are powerful anti-aging antioxidants. 



- 1/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries 

- 1/4cup chopped carrots 

- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks

- 1/2 orange, cut into chunks 

- 1/2 cup coconut water 

- handful of ice (optional)

Green smoothies scare most people because they hardly look delicious. This smoothie will prove them all wrong! It’s incredibly yummy and refreshing. It’s packed with enzymes and antioxidants, which will keep your skin clear and ward off signs of aging like wrinkles. Drink this for beautiful and enviable skin that’ll have your friends green with envy.



- 1/2 cucumber, peeled and cut into chunks 

- 1 large kale leaves without stem (or substitute with spinach)

- 1/2 pear, cut into chunks

- 1 stick of celery, cut into chunks

- juice from 1/2 a lime 

- 1/4 cup pineapple juice 

- handful of ice cubes (optional)
