The Top 3 Fashion Mistakes Guys Make

Posted on 25-01-2017 by Audrey Ong

We’ve always believed that money can’t buy style. No matter how expensive your outfit is, if you aren’t wearing the clothes well, you’re not gonna look good. Find out what the most common fashion mistakes men make are (the third one might surprise you), and never repeat them!

#1 Bad Trouser Breaks

You could have scored the coolest pair of selvedge jeans but if it’s pooling around your ankles, it’s not a good look. You want to look sharp, not sloppy, right?

The break of a trouser refers to the point where the hem of your pants touch your shoes. If they’re too long, you’ll look sloppy and stumpier than you really are. If they’re too short, you’ll look totally disproportionate. When it comes to jeans or chinos, you can always cuff the hems up a little, but when it comes to trousers, that’s a different story. If your trousers are too long, send them to a tailor ASAP for alteration.

#2  Not Tucking In When You Should

We’re sure you’re smart enough to know when you should be tucking in your shirt to suit the occasion (or at least we hope you are). A common weekend or casual Friday look is to pair an untucked shirt with a pair of jeans or chinos, which is great and all, but not ALL shirts were meant to be tucked out. Find out which type of shirts should always be tucked in here

#3 A Fat Wallet

There is absolutely no reason why your wallet should be bulging with expired vouchers, year-old receipts, and God knows what else you guys keep in there. Over-stuffing your wallet/pockets does not look sophisticated. It’s time to clean out and re-organize the contents of your wallet
